Micah 6:8
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8 NIV
Sometimes what we need to do is very simple and plain, isn't it? We need to handle those around us justly, practicing patience and dealing with others in fairness, without partiality. We need to practice mercy, blessing others in need with what they don't deserve but so greatly need. We need to walk humbly with our Father, knowing that without His grace and help we will fail.
In the darkest moments of history, both then and still today, God always gives hope. His people failed Him again and again, just as many of us fail Him daily. Yet the story never ends there. Our miracle-working, life-transforming God desires to change our hearts and lives to be a living representation of Him, light in a world that desperately needs His love and peace.
God is the only One who can work miracles within us, and He wants nothing more than for us to live transformed lives in this world, walking closely in relationship with Him. Living with the justice, mercy, and humility that are true reflections of His character is powerful and takes courage.
It is only those that have trusted Christ as Saviour who are able to act justly and be merciful and walk humbly before their God, for only those that are born from above have been endowed with the new-life in Christ, the godly nature of Christ Jesus. Only believers are imputed with His righteousness which alone can act justly, love faithfulness, and walk humbly before God.
May we choose to walk in the Spirit today, and in His strength and for His glory, let us act justly, love faithfulness, and walk humbly before God!!!
Father thank You for this day and the breath of Your Word that sustains life. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and rain down Your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord it is our desire to walk humbly before You all the days of our lives. Lord thank You for coming to live a perfect life and die as the perfect sacrifice so that we could be imputed with Your perfect righteousness, enabling us in Your power, to walk humbly before You. Lord use my friend to be someone’s blessing today.
Father, we Love You. Amen !
